China e-Commerce at Cosmoprof – Nov. 14, Hong Kong
RSA Asia will partecipate at Cosmoprof Asia as speaker in a seminar on e-commerce on November 14th at the Hong Kong Convetion & Exhibition Centre: ”SMEs on China e-Commerce Platforms”. The event will focus on the market opportunities for major players in the international business of cosmetics, natural and organic, laboratory and manufacturing with an aim to foster and expand the reach throughout the Asian market.
The cosmetics sector in China has been growing at a fast pace in tandem with the rapid development of the Chinese economy in recent years. Data from Euromonitor reveals that total retail sales of skincare products and make-up products in China reached RMB186.7 billion and RMB34.4 billion, respectively, in 2017, achieving year-on-year growth of 10.3% and 21.3%, respectively.
From 14 to 16 November, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) will host exhibitors of the sector. Attendees joined the 4-day show to explore prime business potential, negotiate new working connections and get updated market information in the global perspective on emerging trends. Despite that E-commerce in China is indeed an opportunity for western SMEs, there are a lot of hidden challenges and complexities. Launching a brand requires dedicated analysis and understanding of local regulation.
