China imposes tariff as countermeasures to US trade restrictions
In order to safeguard China’s trading interest, the Ministry of Finance announced, with the Circular 13 (2018), the imposition of duties on 128 products from United States, in response to the tariffs on steel and aluminum imports decided by Trump.
The new measures, that apply starting from April 2nd, will impose a tariff of 15% on 120 items and a tariff of 25% on other 8 products imported from United States.
The main goods hit by the duties are fruits and related products, along with pork meat, steel and aluminum products.
