China Tax Deadline postponed to 24 February
Due to the ongoing pneumonia outbreak which originated in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, the State Administration of Taxation has announced, following a meeting held on January 30th, 2020, the extension of the deadline for February’s tax filing, from the previous February 17th to February 24th, nationwide. In certain regions particularly hit by the coronavirus, the deadline may be further adjusted according to the situation. The extension of the tax deadline is among the measures taken by the Chinese authorities to control and to prevent the outbreak. In addition, the tax authorities are expanding and promoting the online services for taxpayers, in order to increase the efficiency and reduce onsite visits at tax offices for handling tax matters.
