China tax deadline further extended to February 28
According to the communication issued on February 17th, 2020, the General Office of the State Administration of Taxation has further extended the tax deadline from February 24th, to February 28th, 2020, nationwide except for Hubei Province, the epicenter of the outbreak where most of the cities are currently in lockdown.
Also, the communication stresses the local tax offices to provide contactless services to the taxpayers and to implement the preferential tax policies, when applicable. Due to the ongoing pneumonia outbreak, the tax deadline had already been extended by the State Administration of Taxation on January 30th, from February 17th to February 24th, and is now further extended to allow taxpayers in difficulty to properly fulfill their tax liabilities.
