We are pleased to report on the China–Italy Media and Think Tank Forum, held in Rome on December 17, 2025.
The event brought together institutional representatives, media leaders, and experts from both countries to foster dialogue and cooperation between Chinese and Italian media organizations and think tanks.
The Forum provided a high-level platform to exchange views on international communication, policy analysis, and the role of media and research institutions in supporting bilateral relations. Particular emphasis was placed on building a structured and sustainable ecosystem of cooperation between China and Italy in the fields of information, research, and public discourse.
The opening session featured institutional greetings from representatives of Xinhua News Agency, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Italy, the Italian Parliament, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations in Rome, and Italpress, highlighting the strategic importance of media dialogue in the current international context.
A roundtable discussion focused on “Towards a new ecosystem of cooperation between China–Italy media and think tanks”. Speakers from diplomatic institutions, foundations, public broadcasters, news agencies, and academic bodies discussed best practices, challenges, and future opportunities for joint initiatives, knowledge exchange, and policy-oriented research.
Lorenzo Riccardi, Managing Partner of RsA Asia, joins the event as a speaker in his role as Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
