China Public Holiday 2026

The General Office of the State Council has issued the official public holidays in China for 2026.


There are currently seven official public holidays in China, which are:


  • New Year’s Day, January 1 to January 3 (three days), with one make-up day on January 4.


  • Spring Festival, from February 15 to February 23 (nine days), with two make-up days on February 14 and February 28.


  • Qingming Festival, from April 4 to 6 (three days).


  • Labour Day, from May 1 to 5 (five days), with one make-up day on May 9.


  • Dragon Boat Festival, from June 19 to June 21 (three days).


  • Mid-Autumn Festival from September 25 to 27 (three days), with one make-up day on September 20.

  • National Day from October 1 to 8 (eight days), with one make-up day on October 10.
