China’s CPI December 2022

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), China's consumer price index (CPI), a leading indicator of inflation, rose by 1.8 per cent year-on-year in December 2022, compared to 1.6 per cent in November.


Data showed that in 2022 the inflation rate increased by 2 percent compared with the previous year.


Additionally, the data showed that China's producer price index (PPI), which measures factory-gate prices, fell by 0.7 per cent year on year in December 2022, after a rise of 1.3 per cent in November.
