China’s PMI March 2023
According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China's manufacturing sector expanded for the third consecutive month, to 51.9 in March after reaching 52.6 in February. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
The data also showed the PMI for China's non-manufacturing sector came in at 58.2 in March, up from 56.3 in February.
The official composite PMI, which includes both manufacturing and services activity, rose to 57 in March, up from 56.4 in January.
