China’s Trade July 2025

According to data from China’s General Administration of Customs expressed in dollars, China’s international trade with the rest of the world showed the following trend in July 2025, with exports increasing by 7.2 per cent, imports growing by 4.1 per cent, and total trade rising by 5.9 per cent.

In the first seven months of 2025, Chinese exports expanded by 6.1 per cent from a year earlier, while imports fell by 2.7 per cent, and total trade increased by 2.4 per cent.

China confirms the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region as the top partner with USD 597 billion in the January–July2025 period, followed by the European Union (USD 467 billion) and the United States (USD 337 billion).

Trade with the member countries of the ASEAN grew by 8.2 per cent since the beginning of the year, with the African countries increasing by 15.9 per cent, while trade with countries in the LATAM region, which includes Mexico, Central America and all of South America, went up by 1.8 per cent.

China’s trade with the European Union increased by 2.8 per cent, while trade with the United States decreased by 12 per cent.

European Union imports of products from China recorded a negative trend with the Netherlands (-5.3 per cent), Germany (-5.2 per cent), France (-5.5 per cent), and Italy (-9.7 per cent), while the EU average was -5.2 per cent.
