EU IT Tool for China Rare Earth Controls

The European Commission has launched a temporary online tool to assist EU industry in submitting information on urgent license applications in light of China’s export controls on rare earths and related products. The tool is designed to enhance confidentiality and streamline the submission process.

The Commission will periodically compile these urgent applications and forward the license application numbers only to the Chinese authorities through EU-China bilateral channels. All additional data submitted will remain strictly confidential and will be used internally by the Commission.

Companies and associations are encouraged to share this information with relevant EU industry stakeholders.
