GBA & Hainan - Opportunities for Italian Companies 13 Apr

On the occasion of the China International Consumer Products Expo 2023, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao organized an informative and engaging hybrid event "GBA & Hainan - Opportunities for Italian Companies" to be held on Thursday, April 13th, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. The event will be held both ONSITE in Haikou at CICC Company Pavilion (Hall 2 Booth 2H26) and ONLINE via Zoom.

The GBA, one of China's most investor-friendly areas, has a long history of foreign engagement.

Lorenzo Riccardi will join the event with an overview of the opportunities for Italian companies in Hainan, China’s FTZs, and the GBA.

Among the Free Trade Zones, the province of Hainan has been promoted as a Free Trade Port to liberalize and facilitate trade, investment, financial transactions and become a model free trade zone.

Companies registered on the island and active in sectors incentivized by the government can benefit from an income tax rate of 15%, lower than the ordinary rate of 25%; in addition, by 2025 the entire island will be duty-free, as is the case for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The event aims to provide attendees with valuable insight into the GBA and its potential for Italian companies, as well as an opportunity to network with industry leaders and experts.
