Indonesia Trade Trends October 2024
According to data from Statistics Indonesia, the country’s exports rose by 10.7 per cent year-on-year to USD 24.4 billion in October 2024, while imports grew by 16.5 per cent to USD 21.9 billion.
The main destinations for Indonesia’s exports were China (USD 5.6 billion), the United States (USD 2.3 billion), and India (USD 2 billion), with the combined contribution of these three reaching 43.5 per cent.
During the first ten months of 2024, Indonesia’s exports reached USD 217 billion, up 1.3 per cent from the previous year.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a political and economic union of ten members, has 667 million people and a territory of 4.5 million Km2; is currently the third largest economy in Asia-Pacific and the fifth largest in the World. The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has a combined GDP of USD 4.2 trillion, according to estimates for 2024.
