Shanghai welcomes the 16th edition of the Lujiazui Forum from June 18 to 19, 2025. Jointly organized by China’s central financial regulators and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, the forum is one of the country’s most prominent financial events. It aims to advance Shanghai’s role as an international financial hub and contribute to global financial governance.
Under the theme “Financial Opening and Cooperation for High-Quality Development in a Changing Global Economy,” this year’s forum focuses on accelerating financial sector reform, deepening international collaboration, and driving global economic growth.
Top officials from the People’s Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the Shanghai municipal government deliver keynote speeches. Key financial policy announcements from central authorities are also expected during the event.
More than 70 prominent speakers from over 10 countries and regions—including financial regulators, market leaders, and executives from major financial institutions— attend the forum.
The agenda includes eight plenary sessions covering topics such as monetary policy coordination, capital market development, international financial center cooperation, financial support for new productive forces, AI-driven financial innovation, inclusive finance, and green finance.
Additionally, three special sessions focus on emerging issues including reinsurance market development, fintech, and the rule of law in finance.
The Lujiazui Forum continues to serve as a key platform for global financial exchange, policy dialogue, and collaborative development.
