Vietnam’s growth will exceed expectations this year and hold its title as the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia. Gross domestic product is expected to increase by 8% in 2022, exceeding the government's target of 6% -6.5%. Binh Phuoc province is located in the subequatorial tropical monsoon climate and is characterized by 2 distinct seasons; therefore, it is in favor of the development of agricultural and industrial production. Its geographical location can be extremely favorable for economic exchange and development between the provinces of the Highlands and others in the key economic zone of the South and especially the countries of Southeast Asia through neighboring Cambodia. Binh Phuoc has grown from an agricultural province with an industrial share of 42.3%. In 2021, the province's economic growth reached 6.32%, the highest in the Southeast and the 20th in the country. Binh Phuoc has received the attention of many foreign and domestic investors. Its industry has grown to a high level of 20.63% and the industrial production index has increased by 17.8%, GDP per capita has increased by 74.9 million VND per capita annually, an increase of 26 times after 25 years of refounding the province. In 2021, the province had 63 foreign investment projects (FDI) with capital of $ 514 million, 88.5 percent increase in projects, three times the amount of capital in 2020, and 120 domestic investment projects with a total of 12 trillion VND.
