Vietnam's National Day 5 Sep

In occasion of the 78° anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 50° anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy which will be held on September 5th, 2023, at the Villa Miani in Rome.

Located at the eastern edge of mainland Southeast Asia, Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. The capital of the country is Hanoi, while Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city. With a population of over 96 million, it covers an area of 311,700 square kilometres.

A large part of Vietnam's economy is based on state-owned industries like textiles, food, furniture, plastics, paper, tourism, and telecommunications. Agriculture accounts for 15% of GDP and 38% of employment. Vietnam offers various tax incentives to attract and encourage foreign investment into key sectors that are aligned with development goals.

According to the latest IMF forecast, Vietnam's GDP growth in 2023 is expected to reach 5.8 per cent.
