China Public Holiday 2023

The General Office of the State Council has issued the official public holidays in China for 2023.


There are currently seven official public holidays in China, which are:


  • New Year’s Day, from December 30th, 2022 to January 2nd,2023 (three days).

  • Spring Festival, from January 21st to January 27th, 2023 (seven days), with two make-up days on January 28th and January 29th, 2023

  • Qingming Festival, on April 5, 2023 (one day).

  • Labour Day, from April 29th to May 3rd, 2023 (five days), with two make-up days on April 23rd and May 6th, 2023.

  • Dragon Boat Festival, from June 22nd to June 24th (three days), with one make-up day on June 25th, 2023.

  • Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, from September 29th to October 6th, 2023 (eight days), with two make-up days on October 7th and October 8th, 2023.
