China’s CPI July 2023

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's consumer price index (CPI), a leading indicator of inflation, decrease by 0.3 per cent year-on-year in July.


On a monthly basis, July's CPI rose 0.2 percent, compared with a 0.2 percent decline in the previous month.


Additionally, the data showed that China's producer price index (PPI), which measures factory-gate prices, fell by 4.4 per cent year-on-year in July after a contraction of 5.4 per cent in June.
