Shanghai tax deadlines extended to 30 June

Shanghai Municipal Tax Bureau issued on May 27 2022, a “Notice on Matters Related to Extending the Tax Declaration Period in April, May, and June 2022”, in order to fully cooperate with the city's epidemic prevention and control work, to protect taxpayers' legitimate rights and interests, as well as to facilitate their tax declarations and other matters.

According to the content of the Notice:

• The tax deadline for taxpayers submitting monthly and quarterly tax filing in April, May and June will be extended to June 30.

• Taxpayers who still have difficulties filing tax returns within the deadlines for filing and paying taxes in April, May, and June 2022 may apply to the tax authorities for an extension of filing according to the law. Taxpayers can go through the Shanghai Electronic Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation to go through the extension declaration procedures.
