Vietnam and Asia Council Meeting 26 Oct

We are pleased to inform you about the meeting to be attended by a Ho Chi Minh City delegation led by Vo Van Hoan (vice chairman of the People’s Committee) and the S.R Vietnam Consulate in Italy, organized by the Asia Economic Cultural Council with the support of RsA Asia which will be held on October 26th, 2023 in Turin.


One of the aims of the Asia Economic Cultural Council is to promote multilateral and interdisciplinary cooperation between associations, businesses and institutions.


Located at the eastern edge of mainland Southeast Asia, Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. The capital of the country is Hanoi, while Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city. With a population of over 96 million, it covers an area of 311,700 square kilometres.


A large part of Vietnam's economy is based on state-owned industries like textiles, food, furniture, plastics, paper, tourism, and telecommunications. Agriculture accounts for 15% of GDP and 38% of employment. Vietnam offers various tax incentives to attract and encourage foreign investment into key sectors that are aligned with development goals.


According to the latest IMF forecast, Vietnam's GDP growth in 2023 is expected to reach 4.7 per cent, and forecasted to grow by 5.8 per cent in 2024.
