China Tax System

The course aims to summarize the principal topics of Chinese Taxation and offers participants a general overview of the Chinese Taxation and informative updates on tax changes. The course proposes an introduction to taxation and to the Chinese tax system, secondly, it focuses on direct taxes, indirect taxes and other taxes and, in the end, it covers tax benefits and Free Trade Zones.


Shanghai Jiao Tong University Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) is one of China’s oldest and most respected universities, established in 1896 in Shanghai. SJTU is rated among the TOP 4 University in China and is one of the most influential academic institutions in China, since many of China’s leading politicians, intellectuals, scientists and engineers have been educated in SJTU.

Lorenzo Riccardi Long term expertise in international consulting with a specific focus on East Asia. Lorenzo teaches taxation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has been Adjunct Associate Professor at International Business School Suzhou. He is a Tax Advisor and a member of Auditors and CPA associations. He is based in Shanghai, where he is Managing Partner of the consulting firm RsA, specializing in emerging countries (rsa-tax.com)
