China’s Trade March 2026

According to data from China’s General Administration of Customs, China’s international trade with the rest of the world during March 2026 showed exports increasing by 2.5 per cent to USD 321 billion, while imports raising by 27.8 per cent to 511.3 billion, marking the strongest growth since November 2021.

 

Considering the first quarter of 2026, the total value of imports and exports of goods was USD 1,644 billion, an increase of 15 percent year on year. The total value of exports was USD 951 billion, up by 11.9 percent, while the total value of imports was USD 693 billion, increasing by 19.6 percent.

 

China confirms the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region as the top partner January–March 2026 period, followed by the European Union.

 

China’s export performance in early 2026 was particularly strong in the technology sector, with tech products, electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and solar cells driving growth. The exports of mechanical and electrical products grew by 18.3 percent during the first quarter of 2026.
