China’s Trade October 2025

According to data from China’s General Administration of Customs, expressed in dollars, China’s international trade with the rest of the world showed the following trend during the first ten months of 2025, with exports increasing by 5.3 per cent, imports falling by 0.9 per cent, and total trade rising by 2.7 per cent.
In October alone, Chinese exports decreased by 1.1 per cent from a year earlier, while imports expanded by 1 per cent, and total trade went down by 0.3 per cent.
China confirms the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region as the top partner with USD 863 billion in the January–October 2025 period, followed by the European Union (USD 680 billion) and the United States (USD 471 billion).
Trade with the member countries of ASEAN grew by 8.2 per cent since the beginning of the year, with the African countries increasing by 17.3 per cent, while trade with countries in the LATAM region, which includes Mexico, Central America, and all of South America, went up by 3.5 per cent.
China’s trade with the European Union increased by 4 per cent, while trade with the United States decreased by 16.6 per cent.
Imports of products from the European Union to China increased from the Netherlands (2.9 per cent) and France (0.3 per cent), and recorded a negative trend with Germany (-3.4 per cent) and with Italy (-7.1 per cent), while the EU average was -2.5 per cent.
