China Tax Filing Deadlines 2023
The State Administration of Taxation issued the "Circular of the General Office of the State Taxation Administration on Announcing the Tax Filing and Payment Deadlines for 2023".
According to the current tax laws and regulations, Chinese companies must submit a tax filing for several categories of taxes and surcharges monthly (i.e., VAT, IIT, additional surcharges, etc.…). Generally, the deadline is the 15th day after the end of the reporting month. However, the deadline can be postponed according to the public holidays calendar.
The tax deadlines in 2023 are as follows:
January 16th, 2023 (postponed as January 15th is Sunday)
February 15th, 2023
March 15th, 2023
April 17, 2023 (postponed as April 15th is Saturday)
May 18th, 2023 (postponed due to Labor Day)
June 15th, 2023
July 17th, 2023 (postponed as July 15th is Saturday)
August 15th, 2023
September 15th, 2023
October 23rd, 2023 (postponed due to National Day Holiday)
November 15th, 2023
December 15th, 2023
It is strongly recommended to submit tax filing on time in order to avoid penalties and negative impact on the credit score.
