Philippines GDP Q3 2025 +4%

According to the latest figures from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the country’s economy expanded by 4 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, compared to 5.5 per cent in the previous quarter.


On a seasonally adjusted basis, GDP increased by 0.4 per cent quarter-on-quarter, following 1.5 per cent in the second quarter.


Domestic demand moderated compared to the previous quarter. Private consumption grew by 4.1 per cent year-on-year, government consumption by 5.8 per cent, and fixed investment by 0.1 per cent. Imports of goods and services increased by 2.6 per cent.

Exports of goods and services rose by 7 per cent, improving from 4.7 per cent in the second quarter.


United Overseas Bank expects GDP growth of 4.6 per cent in 2025 and 5 per cent in 2026, supported by monetary policy adjustments, stable inflation expectations, fiscal spending, and the Philippines’ ASEAN chairmanship.


The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a political and economic union of ten members, has 667 million people and a territory of 4.5 million Km2; is currently the third largest economy in Asia-Pacific and the fifth largest globally. The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has a combined GDP of USD 4.2 trillion, according to estimates for 2024.
